BIRDING IN BHUTAN
Bhutan remained isolated from the rest of the world for centuries. It is the only country in the region which was never colonised. Having
remained in isolation for centuries we have been able to preserve our natural resources. Today Bhutan has been recognised as one of
the ten global hot spots.

Bhutan has almost 65 per cent forest cover which has helped to preserve many species of birds and animals. There are almost 650
different species of birds in Bhutan. From the sub-tropical species to the alpine forests there are different species of birds. Thus making
Bhutan a bird watchers paradise.
