FLAG AND NATIONAL ANTHEMN
The flag of Bhutan is diagonally divided into two halves. The upper half represents
the power of the king and the lower half the power of the monastic body and the
people. The dragon represents the name of the country. The white dragon
represents purity the jewels in its hands represents the spiritual wealth of the
country.

Bhutan flag is hoisted through out the country in all Government offices and
institutions.

English translation
In the Thunder Dragon Kingdom, where cypresses grow
Refuge of the glorious monastic and civil traditions,
The King od Druk, precious soverign,
His being is eternal, his reign prosperous
The enlightenment teachings thrive and flourish
May the people shine like the sun of peace and happiness!
